As queers and, possibly, as members of other disprivileged groups we run greater risks of experiencing loneliness in our lives and the Village has offered several formats to address this. There may be shame around being lonely, it is often related to an experience of hurt in our past, we may feel lonely even though we have a pretty social live. In loneliness we sense the lack and this means that it contains at its core a desire for something that isn’t (yet). Let’s come together to share our experience of loneliness and start imagining that which isn’t yet and how that could possibly come about.
