Unlike a traditional life drawing class there is no set model - we all draw and we all model, in whatever level of (un)dress is comfortable for us. Through the act of modelling and drawing we gain an appreciation for different body types, gain confidence in ourselves and create unique visual narratives. Various creative exercises will help us grasp expressive charcoal drawing. There are no wrong answers and all drawing levels are welcome!
Luke Carter
Luke Carter is a British visual artist based in Leipzig, Germany. He is a graduate of the Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in drawing, printmaking and painting. In addition to exhibiting regularly he has also run life drawing classes in various community and academic contexts and has worked as a life model himself.
